I have spent several years on the committee of my local playgroup, and have been involved in the discussions revolving around raising funds for extra resources for the children. Many of the fundraising ideas have involved lots of time for the committee members. Fundraising for playgroups and toddler groups is a necessary job, but it can be time consuming.
This morning I sat down and calculated how much money I’ll be sending back to the toddler groups that I have held photo shoots at recently. For the leaders of the groups a few emails were exchanged before the day to confirm a date and time for the photo shoot. After that any work was part of running a toddler group, such as arriving early or leaving after the toys are tidied up. With cheques ranging from £40 to £100 it is a good way to raise extra funds for the toddler group, as well as provide a service which people are really pleased to receive.
